Cuts grease without harsh chemicals — gentle on your hands, tough on residue
Most dish soaps are liquid detergents in a plastic bottle — synthetic surfactants, artificial fragrance, preservatives your skin absorbs every time you wash up. The Earthwise Lemongrass Dish Bar is built differently. Three ingredients. No bottle. No synthetic anything.
Cold-pressed coconut oil creates a dense, grease-cutting lather that lifts residue from dishes without stripping moisture from your hands. Castor oil adds slip and conditioning, so the bar doesn't harden and crack with repeated water exposure. Pure lemongrass essential oil gives a clean, sharp citrus scent that dissipates as it dries — no synthetic fragrance lingering on your dishes.
One bar replaces roughly 2–3 bottles of liquid dish soap and produces zero plastic waste. Rub directly onto a dish brush or sponge, or work into a lather between your hands first.
What's in it — and why
| Coconut Oil | High in lauric acid, which creates a hard bar with rich, dense lather. The primary cleansing and grease-cutting agent. Cold-pressed, no refining. |
| Castor Oil | Adds slip, conditioning, and flexibility to the bar. Prevents the hardening and cracking that happens when a dish soap bar is used repeatedly under running water. |
| Lemongrass Essential Oil | Pure steam-distilled essential oil. Provides a clean, sharp citrus scent. No synthetic fragrance, no fragrance oils — just the plant itself. |
That's it. Three ingredients. Nothing hidden, nothing synthetic, nothing you can't pronounce.

Lemongrass Solid Dish Soap Bar
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it actually cut grease as well as liquid soap?
Yes — and for most people, better. The high coconut oil content creates a denser lather than most liquid dish soaps, which are often diluted with water. The key is getting the sponge or brush properly wet before rubbing on the bar so it activates the lather.
How long does one bar last?
With daily use for 1–2 people, expect 4–6 weeks. Letting the bar dry completely between uses significantly extends its life — a wet bar left in standing water will soften much faster.
Is it safe for non-stick cookware?
Yes. The bar produces a gentle, non-abrasive lather. It won't scratch or degrade non-stick surfaces the way harsh scrubbing compounds can.
Will it leave a soapy residue on my dishes?
No — it rinses clean. Natural soap rinses more completely than synthetic detergents, which often leave a thin film. With normal hot water rinsing you won't have any residue.
Is the lemongrass scent strong?
It's noticeable while washing but dissipates as dishes dry. Pure lemongrass essential oil has a clean, sharp citrus note — not the artificial "lemon cleaning product" smell. It won't linger on your dishes or glasses.
Can I use it for handwashing clothes or general cleaning?
Yes. The coconut oil base makes it effective as a general-purpose cleaner. Many customers use it for handwashing delicates, cleaning produce, or wiping down surfaces. See our Cleaning Bundle for a complete natural kitchen cleaning set.
